Rescue and Rehoming

Rescue

Through our Rescue Trust, the North West Golden Retriever Club provides a dedicated service for the rescue and re-homing of goldens, so if for any reason your circumstances mean you need to re-home your golden retriever, we will do our very best to find it a good home.

We have rescued over 100 golden retrievers in the last few years and we are pleased to say that not one of them has had to be kennelled. They are collected and re-homed on the same day, going directly from home to home, as our aim is to be sure there is as little stress as possible. Every golden is carefully matched to their new owners, taking great care to find them a loving home where they will be cherished and have companionship for most of the time.

Re-homing

Finding the right home for a rescued golden is our main concern and we take time through homechecks to be sure that new owners can provide the love and care needed for the rest of their lives. Our dedicated care for the breed means we are always looking for good homes for golden retrievers, especially older ones, which for various reasons need re-homing.

Our dedication and care for the general wellbeing of golden retrievers continues after they have been re-homed. Our rescue trust assists the new owners, especially for older goldens, with contributions towards any vetenary medical costs that may occur in the future.

If you are looking for a golden retriever, or if circumstances now mean that you need to find a new home for your golden, we are here to offer help. Also if you know someone who could help us in providing a good home for one, please get in touch.
